I don't hold with all this revisionist twaddle about Vikings only being interested in "World Music" and farmers markets.

I fear I'll be seeing more of these chaps once the Goat finds out about them.

Gents,
Given the fact that Peeler's just been banned do we have an off forum channel for keeping the game going?

Buff – leave it with me, I'll sort it out. I can't imagine for one second that Peeler won't want to be involved. Since I'm organising the campaign aspect, I'm sure it will be possible to make a private arrangement with a certain person who lives in Ayton to organise the hall for us.

Thanks Henry, we're all fully committed, or should be. There is a contingency plan on FB but I would prefer to see it stay here if everyone comes back. Even if a lot of the admin is done off forum I intend to post here in a bid to entice new players in. If we close the group off the East Coast Mafia will just fill it up with more Yorkshiremen.

Anyway, I need to go and wrap some presents and clear space for a game of "And a Bottle of Rum" Rudi needs to acquire some more merchantmen.

IMPORTANT!

I just looked at the calendar and turned white, and not from the snow. <pn>

I'm going to be closing the lists for the Grenouissse Ascendant attendees at the end of this week, Sunday 22nd December. By then, I must have a finalised list of names of who's coming and a pretty accurate outline of the forces involved. So whatever you're planning, I need to know the MOST you will be commanding: if troops don't turn up on the day, then hard luck, but I'm not going to have sudden surprises turning up that I haven't catered for.

OK?

The lists are now closed for the Grenouisse Ascendant game. I shall be posting updates about the campaign build up in due course.

In the meantime, a very merry Christmas to everyone.

Ah well, I hadn't intended to post this up yet but as the key people* behind the Ayton and Framlingham games are no longer members of WD3 it seems pointless to try to use the site as means of communicating our news. This is all very sad and one of my biggest regrets is that both groups have lost Levied Troop along the way. The cat in the melon helmet is one of the nicest people I have ever gamed with.

The Ayton gamers are regrouping at http://thelaofwargamers.prophpbb.com/ We shall welcome all future members, admirers and lurkers so do please take a look.

* The key people being Peeler, Tim H. and Henry.

I am hopeful that LT will return to one or both groups once the dust has settled.
The forum Buff has posted the link to is not restricted to people who attend Ayton or are going to Framlingham and I and others have been very keen that it is not now and doesn't become an 'anti-WD3' forum.
