42(ish)mm late 19th C British

I am, in wargames terms, a grasshopper. I keep wanting to buy new figures in different scales and periods - even if they don't actually get painted. My latest 'urge' is to look for figures that are basically 1899 British Home Service types that could go with, say, 1870 Franco-Prussian War figures (like the Irregular Miniatures ones) and allow me to game a toy soldier type of 'Britain invaded' games. Quite simply, can't find any. Lots of Brits fighting Zulus or Boers, nothing suitable for Home Service ...

So, anyone here know of a UK manufacturer of reasonably priced toy soldier type 42mm British Home Service figures?

The Irregular Miniatures artillery/guns are very good. The Shiny Toy Soldiers and Little Britons ranges are great but did lack a decent gun......did, I don't know if they still do.

Irregular Really Useful Guns will provide all my guns - it's a very good range and I've used the 15/20mm ones in the past.

Nice work, but I'll stick to going directly to your blog.

I haven't looked at TMP for months now, and have no inclination to return to the fold. Armand's non-stop spamfest is a big reason why.

Oh, I visit - don't miss the locked account thing and actually find Tango useful - his shotgun method does find a few things of interest and I can happily ignore the rest.
