WW1 Ships...

Postby Von Richter » Tue Jun 07, 2016 11:42 am

I'm after the following if anybody's got any kicking about, prefer them in UK, painted and based...

British:-
3 Dreadnoughts
2 Battlecruisers
1 Cruiser
2 Destroyers

German:-
2 Dreadnoughts
1 Pre-Dreadnought
1 Battlecruiser
1 Cruiser
2 Destroyers

S, I'd consider anything actually, they're only for the WW1 Naval version of 'One Hour Wargame' rules... so I'm happy to go cheep and simples!

Have you looked at the 1/6000 scale ships by Magister Militum? That may be a scale worth looking into if you want a lot of ships on a OHW-sized table.

http://www.magistermilitum.com/scale/1- ... ke-x4.html

If you want really cheap. this site has top-down counters you can print out for free.

If you do consider the counter route, there is an old boardgame (I think from Avalon Hill) on the battle called, funnily enough, 'Jutland'. You can still pick up a 2nd hand copy in good order.

There's always the boating pond at Scarborough.

Google Scarborough Naval Warfare.
