Gungnir's paper stuff

Postby Gungnir » Sat Oct 12, 2013 8:23 pm

While I was waiting for inspiration to finish some other stuff I tried my hand at a Medieval building in 1:72 scale.

This halftimbered house is the result.

The roof has to a bit wider - that's why one does a test build, right?

Doors and shutters can be used either open or closed.

Rather nice! Looks like a decent version of my venerable Airfix thatched cottage conversion.

I'm thinking of doing more quick and easy historical/wargaming stuff.

This one only took me two nights to do - also because I could adapt a previously built roof.

The real problem is that I have way more plans than time, and dozens of barely started to almost finished products.

That's why I started this new one...

By the way, this Dark Ages farm was the first fantasy/historical 1:72 building.

Looking very good, G. Ronan and I are still waiting for 1770s Boston, though....

Keep waiting. I have a very, very long list of planned projects, I'll have to live to at least 140 to finish them all - and Boston is not even on it yet.

Fixed the fit of the roof of the third Russian house, now it sits like it's supposed to.

Detailing and Winter version tomorrow, then it can go to the printer's.

I love that half timber - usable in many periods.

Thinking of a French or Belgian far, suitable from pre-Nap time right through to present.

But first a Ukranian village, and perhaps some city building ruins.

And a moat. That should keep those Japanese Highlanders out.

It's the only way the Belgistanians ever feel completely safe against Japanese Highlanders.
