Fantasy Siege rules for 25/28mm ?

Postby Kreoseus » Tue Sep 25, 2018 4:34 pm

Ay Up

I am in the process of building my own modular castle for 25/28mm using Hirst Arts blocks.
The Castle will be ready soon, I have a heap of various figures for fantasy, inc plenty of Lord of the Rings, WFB , and my pride & joy, a good sized force of Melniboneans & some Pan Tang

The question is what rules to use ? What would people suggest for individually based fantasy figures in a siege fight ?
I have WFB 3 & siege, LoTR, but neither seem right.

What would you gentlemen suggest ?
I need your clothes, your boots and your unicycle...

Dragon Rampant is a fun skirmish rules set. There are unofficial siege rules, but I have never tried them: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1830477/rampant-siege

btw, extremely jealous that you have a "good sized force" of GW Melniboneans and PanTangians. I've been sizing up various 1/72 proxies to do some Moorcock inspired skirmishing, but nothing to match these. Will post my poxy proxies anon.....

If you're prepared to look at 28mm, Eureka have a Hawkmoon range. http://www.eurekamin.com.au/index.php?c ... 26_144_855
Great figures. I've got some of them, alas not yet painted.

Hi Etranger,
Yes, they are lovely. I'll get to these some day. My inner masochist insists that I do this in 1/72. "They'll look good when painted", he says..... <wall>
Sorry for hijacking your thread Phil, back to sieges in 28mm.
