General D'Armee test

Postby paintinglittlesods » Thu Jul 20, 2017 12:36 am

Hi,

My friends and I playtested the rules using my mates excellent collection. I have decided that I should only be a cavalry commander only as when I have a good few units of Cav I can work miracles.

I found the rules easy to pick up but not so fussed on the rulebook as (to me) its overly filled with fluffy glossy pictures that take up far too much space.

Not a trick question - does it have an index?

It was a glaring omission from the last edition of GdB.

Ah Mark had the rules and I only ordered mine the other day- book was 100 or so pages.

I think it did but I'll nudge him to confirm it

Face - and, as the kids say - palm.

We had a good old chewing-over re. the last ('Deluxe') GdB edition, that Dave Brown was privy to.
The lack of an index featured prominently!
