Seven Years War French light infantry

Postby Eccles » Sat Jul 15, 2017 10:52 pm

Now, I've never really been that concerned with light infantry in the 7YW as it was very situational and I don't tend to use it in full battles. Now...most light infantry uniforms seem to be clear cut and I thought that French light infantry was the same. They wear mirlitons, right? Well apparently not...or maybe?
Apparently there were a dozen or so units, some of which only lasted a couple years and they wore trucorns, prussian style fusilier mitres, jockey caps with high fronts and, yes, mirlitons.

So my question is, is there any proof confirming what Fischer wore?
